Brunch boss: An Artistic Culinary Adventure
I created an innovative app that allows users to create their own brunch in a game-like experience while finding nearby brunch restaurants, featuring artwork from a local artist. As the Lead UX and UI Designer, I led the project through comprehensive research, testing, and design, overcoming various constraints to create a unique and engaging user experience.

Identifying Unique Selling Points:
• Constraint: Finding a way to make the app stand out in a crowded market of brunch restaurant locators.
• Overcame: Focused on creating a unique and fun user experience that highlighted artwork.
Establishing Functional Hierarchy:
• Constraint: Determining the hierarchy of functions for the app.
• Overcame: Conducted thorough research on content and competition, identified audience needs, set goals and outcomes, and mapped out the app’s structure.
Creating an Effective Prototype:
• Constraint: Developing a prototype that accurately represented the app’s functionality without visual aids.
• Overcame: Created and tested a non-visual paper prototype, gaining valuable insights and areas for improvement from user feedback.
How did research inform the design
Paper testing and user feedback significantly enhanced design functionality. The user flow was refined based on journey mapping and testing results. Collaborating with a local artist not only established a cohesive artistic style for the game but also provided an excellent platform to promote the artist's work.
